Gaffers Tape

Whether you are using half inch cloth tape (spike tape), one inch gaffers tape (route setting tape) or two inch gaffers tape (gaffer tape) , savvy hoopers know that they are all made from the same cloth tape product.

They are all gaffers (or gaffer, or gaff, or gaffa) tape. Gaffers tape is a tape made from woven cotton cloth that is manufactured in large rolls like carpet, then slit to custom widths.

Using cloth tape for hoop decorating gives your hoop a little more “grip” since it has a texture unlike vinyl tapes or metallic tapes.
