About Cloth Hoop Tape

Cloth tape for hoop decoration is actually known as “gaffers tape”, a woven cotton cloth used primarily in audio visual and entertainment production.

Gaffers tape is manufactured in big rolls like carpet and then “converted” to different widths.   ½ inch and 1 inch widths are the sizes primarily used by hoopers.

Gaffers tape is made in lots of vibrant colors and it has a vinyl coating, which makes it colorfast and easy to wipe clean.

The tightly woven cotton fabric that makes up cloth hoop tape makes it hand-tearable (no sharp cutting tools!) and very durable.
